About the Program

The International Directorate at BUEB announces a call for applications under the Pannónia Program for mandatory international traineeships that can be implemented between May 1, 2025 and August 15, 2025 (maximum support period: 2 months).

A traineeship is a period spent at a company or organization located in a country participating in the Pannónia Scholarship Programme. Its aim is to help you acquire the skills necessary in the community labor market and to understand the economic and social culture of the host country. Unlike previous rounds, the application is not continuous, the deadline for submitting applications is April 27, 2025 at 23:59.

Within the Pannónia Programme, you may only apply for mandatory traineeships.

Prior consultation with the Office for Academic Support is required to ensure that the planned traineeship complies with the requirements of your mandatory internship.

• This opportunity is not available for students participating in the BUEB Stipendium Hungaricum program.

Where Can You Go?

You may apply for a traineeship at any enterprise or organization located in a country participating in the Pannónia Scholarship Program that can provide you with appropriate professional support and mentoring.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to study the profile of the partner, coordinate the employment conditions of the given host country with the host company and handle the necessary administration, as well as acquire any necessary visas (if relevant).
• Get as much information as possible about the company, negotiate with them about the conditions and benefits. See what they can do to help you organize the mobility, e.g. the employment conditions, visa administration, accommodation.
It is imperative that you only travel with a valid health-, accident- and liability insurance. We require all three.
• Agencies: it is worth considering that you travel through an agency specialized in traineeship programs, which would greatly facilitate the search for the host company and the administration/local administration. IN THIS LIST you will find some active agencies/brokerage companies.

What grant amount can I receive?

You can calculate the approximate amount of your scholarship in advance. The scholarship is a contribution to the implementation of your mobility plan, but it does not necessarily cover all your costs. Before you jump in, make sure to prepare a budget. The amount depends on the destination country and the period spent abroad. It is a lump sum, so there is no itemized settlement, but you must prove the completion of the mobility as per your scholarship contract. After signing the grant agreement, you will receive the scholarship in one amount in HUF.
