Savonia University International Staff Week February 19-22, 2024

Savonia University of Applied Sciences warmly welcomes our partners to join the International Staff Week on Green Economy arranged in cooperation with the EU4DUAL university alliance.

The week includes presentations and workshops related to green economy in teaching and research. The theme will be examined from various fields such as engineering, business, tourism, design, agriculture and social services. Learn about the topics e.g. related to bio and circular economy, sustainable fashion, ethical entrepreneurship, carbon neutrality, virtuality in tourism, social sustainability as well as sustainability in agriculture.

The key note will be delivered by Mr Pekka Reinikainen from the Finnish Red Cross who acts also as the European Union Climate Pact Ambassador at EU Climate Pact Secretariat.

The week includes networking opportunities to find a colleagues for your next cooperation project, as well as introduction to Savonia campuses in the cities of Kuopio and Iisalmi, not forgetting the cultural activities. We also invite you to present your poster on green economy during the week.

Location: Kuopio, Finland. Possibility for a site visit in the Iisalmi campus.

Fee: No fees for Savonia UAS partner universities, 150 € for non-partners.

Each participant is responsible for their own travel and housing costs. The event is eligible for Erasmus+ staff training funding.
